They were once used to catch crabs, and now they have a new life growing food.
The traps are one aspect of an ambitious food project taking place in Rupert.
“After the soil was delivered last week, the team built cedar boxes for raised garden beds, layered the beds with burlap, and filled them with earth. Next up, the team is picking up seedlings that are ready to be planted,” explains a recent update on the project.
